專輯介紹

《The Wall》是 Pink Floyd 於 1979 年 11 月發行的第 11 張錄音室專輯，也是吉他手 David Gilmour、貝斯手兼詞曲創作者 Roger Waters、鍵盤手 Richard Wright 與鼓手 Nick Mason 這個經典陣容在 Wright 離團前的最後一張錄音室作品。這張專輯延續了 Pink Floyd 前三張專輯的概念專輯傳統，探討遺棄與個人孤立等深刻主題，是一部完整的搖滾歌劇作品。

專輯的核心角色 Pink 是 Roger Waters 以自己和樂團創始成員 Syd Barrett 為原型塑造的人物。Waters 在 1977 年 Pink Floyd 的 In the Flesh 巡迴演出期間構思了這張專輯，當時他對觀眾的挫折感達到極點，甚至想像在觀眾與舞台之間築起一道牆。這個創作靈感最終演變成這部探討暴力循環、孤立與隔絕的概念巨作。

此重製版由 James Guthrie、Joel Plante 和傳奇母帶工程師 Bernie Grundman 從原始類比母帶重新處理，音質表現達到全新高度。《The Wall》曾是 1980 年最暢銷專輯之一，截至 1999 年在美國已獲得超過 2,300 萬張 RIAA 認證銷量，成為美國史上第三高認證專輯。《滾石雜誌》更將其列入史上 500 大專輯，排名第 129 位。
